Al Mohannadi for Roads and Trading and Contracting announces the successful completion of its strategic scope within the vital “Corniche Rehabilitation and Improvement Project.” This landmark project was undertaken by the Public Works Authority (Ashghal) as part of the state’s national infrastructure development plans.

Al Mohannadi for Roads and Trading and Contracting was responsible for the complete execution of one of the project’s two main directions. The company rehabilitated and maintained the entire 7 kilometer long carriageway, including all its lanes, in accordance with the highest technical specifications.

Al-Mohannadi’s Scope of Work

The works executed by Al-Mohannadi’s teams on their assigned direction included:

  • Asphalt Works: The laying of thousands of tons of high-quality asphalt mix to ensure long-term road durability.
  • Application of Modern Technology: The project utilized advanced laser camera technology, which provided precise measurement of the asphalt layers’ smoothness, ensuring the highest standards of quality and comfort for road users.
  • Comprehensive Maintenance: Performing maintenance works on existing asphalt concrete within the designated work zone.

In line with its continuous commitment to promoting a safe work environment and enhancing the well-being of its employees, Al Mohannadi for Roads and Trading and Contracting organized an intensive awareness training program today, November 3, 2025, on occupational safety and health requirements.

The program was held in direct cooperation and coordination with the Department of Occupational Safety and Health at the Ministry of Laboure, with the presence of ministry representatives who delivered the program’s content. The training was held in the main training hall at Al Mohannadi’s head office and was conducted in groups, with each group comprising at least fifty employees and workers from various company sites, ensuring maximum engagement and benefit.

The program focused specifically on “Hazards of Work on Construction Sites,” where participants were provided with the necessary training materials and practical models to enhance safety practices. They were also educated on potential risks and how to avoid them, ensuring the highest levels of safety and benefit for all. The management of “Al Mohannadi for Roads and Trading and Contracting” extends its deepest appreciation to the Ministry of Laboure and the expert team from the Department of Occupational Safety and Health for this fruitful cooperation, reaffirming its commitment to organizing such programs to solidify the culture of safety as a top priority across all its projects.

MRTC Set to Commence Street Lighting Project in South Qatar in Cooperation with ‘Ashghal’

Al Mohannadi for Roads and Trading and Contracting is pleased to announce the awarding of the “Refurbishment, Reinstatement and Repair Works in Qatar South – Phase 10 – Street Lighting” project by the Public Works Authority ‘Ashghal’, a leading partner in infrastructure development in the State of Qatar.

This achievement enhances our proven track record and affirms the significant trust that government entities place in our company’s capabilities. The company has recently received the official commencement order, with the project’s implementation works scheduled to begin on September 21, 2025.

The project aims to enhance the efficiency of the street lighting network in the country’s southern regions, which will directly contribute to enhancing road traffic safety, improving the public urban appearance, and supporting the sustainable development plans adopted by the State of Qatar.
