Al Mohannadi for Roads and Trading and Contracting has been awarded a major infrastructure project by the Syrian government: the Al Busairi–Al Tanf Road Rehabilitation and New Route Project, valued at approximately USD 150 million.

The project covers approximately 215 kilometers in Syria’s eastern region — rehabilitation of the existing 215-kilometer Al Busairi–Al Tanf road, plus construction of a new 215 -kilometer parallel route. It is designed to improve connectivity between Syria, Iraq, and the Gulf, supporting regional trade, transit, and logistics.

Scope of work includes repairing damaged and deteriorated sections, full resurfacing, road markings, traffic signage, and road safety measures. The new parallel route will add capacity and improve two-way traffic flow. Construction is expected to begin in 2026, with an estimated completion period of approximately 800 days.
